About The Job
We are looking for an experienced chef that thrives in a busy kitchen and has a real passion for serving great food.
You'll be involved in shaping the menu and creating a positive work culture within the kitchen and venue. Using your leadership and management skills you'll work with our head chef to train and develop the kitchen team to take our food offer to the next level.
This is a great opportunity to bring your experience to a relatively new, independent venue that is on an exciting journey and open to ideas.

What you'll be doing
Training and supervising the team around you to consistently deliver the quality of every dish served
Reducing food waste and food costs
Serving a seasonal, fresh food menu that meets the diverse needs of customers
Working closely with the head chef to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen
Supporting the team to adapt to the changing food demands of the the large external cafe terrace
Helping to create a positive kitchen environment where the team feel welcomed and cared for
Sharing your passion and knowledge of food, ingredients and cooking techniques
Working proactively with the creative team to ensure food is presented for social media
Managing feedback to ensuring customer satisfaction
Ensuring food safety, health and safety and hygiene standards are followed by the whole team at all times
What you'll have
Excellent cooking skills and experience of a fast-paced fresh food kitchen
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to plan and manage costings
An attention to detail and commitment to delivering consistently high standards
Excellent seasonal produce and ingredient knowledge
