We are seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a Sous Chef, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation. Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and ensuring smooth service. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food preparation and cooking processes. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations. Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation. Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and seasonal offerings. Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and minimising waste. Train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and restaurant policies. Monitor kitchen performance, providing feedback to team members to enhance productivity and quality.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Sous Chef within a busy restaurant environment. Strong supervisory skills with experience in team management. Extensive knowledge of food production techniques and culinary practices. Excellent cooking skills with an emphasis on food preparation and presentation. Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication skills.
