Beechfield House is a beautiful 3 AA Red Star country house hotel nestled near Bath, Longleat & Lacock, known for its relaxed elegance, award-winning dining, and warm hospitality. With a strong focus on quality ingredients and seasonal menus, our kitchen is a place where passion meets creativity. We're now looking for a talented Sous Chef to join our dedicated team and help us continue delivering exceptional food in an inspiring environment.



We're seeking a passionate and highly skilled Sous Chef to support our Head Chef in leading kitchen operations with precision and creativity. This pivotal role involves overseeing food preparation, maintaining high culinary standards, managing kitchen staff, and ensuring consistent quality across all dishes. The ideal candidate brings a blend of leadership, culinary expertise, and a calm, solutions-focused approach to a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities




Help in the preparation and design of all food and drinks menus Produce high quality plates both design and taste wise Ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standards Fill in for the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation when necessary Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation Order supplies to stock inventory appropriately Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards Maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and customers

Requirements




Must have previously worked in fine dining restaurant. Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures Excellent record of kitchen and staff management Accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations and providing solutions Familiar with industry's best practices
