As a Sous Chef, you will play a vital role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation while leading a dedicated team.
Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and staff management.
Supervise food preparation and production to maintain quality and consistency.
Ensure all kitchen staff adhere to health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organised workspace.
Help develop new menu items and contribute to menu planning based on seasonal ingredients.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods.
Address any issues that arise within the kitchen promptly and effectively.
Experience
Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry is essential.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
Proficient in various cooking techniques and food production methods.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation.
