We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sous Chefto join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in food preparation and safety, with a keen interest in culinary arts. As a Sous chef, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our dishes are prepared to the highest standards, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests. The positions also come with Live In accommodation

Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards

Maintain high levels of food safety and hygiene throughout the kitchen

Assist in meal preparation, ensuring all ingredients are fresh and properly stored

Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during service

Help with inventory management, including ordering and stocking supplies as needed

Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and work areas to ensure a safe working environment

Follow all health and safety regulations while working in the kitchen

Requirements

Proven work experience within the kitchen

Preferably in a high quality and busy 4 or 5-star hotel environment with a genuine interest or desire to progress in hospitality

A great understanding of culinary, baking and pastry techniques

Ability to remain calm and work under pressure

Excellent time management abilities

Up-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes

Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards helping others

Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends

A passion for cooking and an eagerness to learn new techniques within the culinary field
