Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations and staff. Oversee food production and ensure quality standards are met. Help with menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients. Supervise and train kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety protocols. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Prepare high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar culinary role within a professional kitchen. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen management. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team. Passion for hospitality and commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Culinary qualifications or certifications are preferred but not essential.
