We are currently recruiting for a highly proficient Sous Chef to join The Orangery Restaurant within Trioscape Garden Centre. Previous experience of high-volume / retail catering is essential.
Our restaurant has undergone an exciting refurbishment and we are looking for a chef with a passion for amazing food and an eye for detail to join our team. The successful candidate needs to be able to engage with our team and customers.
The Orangery has gained a reputation for home cooked food using locally sourced ingredients when possible so experience in producing good quality food from raw ingredients is vital.
The normal working hours are 8am - 4pm with no evenings. The position will be 5 days a week to include a weekend day.
The successful candidate will be part of the daily operations of our kitchen team with the following responsibilities:
Assisting with food ordering and stock control
Food preparation on a daily basis
Menu planning
Managing a team in the absence of the Kitchen Manager
Conforming at all times with health and hygiene regulations
Monitoring the quality of the product and service provided
Keeping abreast of trends and developments in the industry.
Experience Required:
Minimum 2 years relevant catering experience
Good communication and IT skills
Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
