Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality and culinary arts, with a keen understanding of food safety and kitchen operations. As a Sous Chef, you will play a vital role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen activities, ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation, and leading the culinary team to deliver exceptional dining experiences.

Duties

Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and managing staff. Supervise and train kitchen personnel, fostering a collaborative team environment. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen. Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to established recipes and standards. Help in menu planning, including seasonal specials and dietary requirements. Monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering supplies, and manage stock rotation. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during service periods. Maintain a positive atmosphere within the kitchen, encouraging creativity and innovation.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and kitchen management. Excellent culinary skills with an eye for detail in food presentation. Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in supervising teams. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and other departments. A genuine passion for cooking and helping others develop their culinary skills.
