We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food production and preparation. This position requires strong leadership skills and a commitment to maintaining food safety and hygiene standards within a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and managing the culinary team. Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to the restaurant's menu and standards. Supervise food production processes, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish served. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations. Assist in menu planning, including seasonal specials and new dish development. Monitor inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as necessary to ensure smooth operations. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during peak times.

Skills

Proficient in food production techniques and food preparation methods. Strong leadership abilities with experience in team management within a kitchen setting. In-depth knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment. Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly desirable. Ability to supervise staff while providing guidance and support to enhance their skills. Passion for culinary arts with a creative approach to menu development and presentation.
