We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sous Chef to join our professional culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, the Sous Chef will support the Head Chef in managing daily operations, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and presentation. Responsibilities



Assist in overseeing daily kitchen operations to ensure smooth service delivery Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training and mentoring team members Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards Ensure all food production meets quality, safety, and hygiene regulations Support in menu planning and development alongside the Head Chef Maintain stock levels, organise inventory, and place orders as necessary Monitor food presentation to ensure consistency and visual appeal Enforce health and safety procedures within the kitchen environment Collaborate with front-of-house staff to deliver excellent customer service during service hours

Skills



Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen environment Extensive culinary experience with strong food preparation and cooking skills Excellent team management capabilities with leadership qualities Sound knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene regulations Experience in restaurant or hospitality settings with a focus on food production Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently Ability to work under pressure during peak service times Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and management Passion for culinary arts with a keen eye for detail in food presentation

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 13.00-13.50 per hour
