Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the kitchen, assisting the Head Chef in managing the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food safety, and delivering exceptional dining experiences. This position requires strong leadership skills and a commitment to culinary excellence within a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and food preparation.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow.
Help in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative dishes.
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene practices in accordance with regulations.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods.
Contribute to maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment.
Experience
Proven experience in a culinary role within a restaurant setting is essential.
Strong knowledge of food production techniques and culinary practices.
Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a kitchen is highly desirable.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices is required.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
A passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding customer service.
