We are looking for an experienced and motivated Sous Chef to join our team. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll support the delivery of excellent food and service, ensure compliance with safety standards, and help drive innovation and growth across the catering operation.
What you'll do:

• Lead and motivate the catering team to deliver great service and high-quality food at all times.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, health & safety and company standards, achieving strong audit results.
• Support financial performance by managing stock, driving sales, and controlling costs.
• Work with the team to refresh and update the food offer, keeping it innovative and customer-focused.
• Walk the floor and lead by example, maintaining visibility during service periods.
• Coach, train, and develop staff, building a motivated and high-performing team.
• Support across multiple sites where needed to ensure consistency of service.
• Contribute to business planning, marketing initiatives, and continuous improvement.

What you'll bring:

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Excellent knowledge of food safety and health & safety standards.
• Commercial awareness with experience in managing stock, GP, and sales growth.
• Ability to be flexible - including covering night shifts when required.
• A proactive, hands-on approach and commitment to delivering high standards.
• A full driving licence and access to a car (mileage paid).

Desirable experience:

• Previous experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar senior kitchen role.
• Experience working within a contract catering or multi-site environment.
• Knowledge of COSHH and audit compliance.
