We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations and supervising kitchen staff.
Ensure that all food preparation and production meets quality standards and adheres to food safety regulations.
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, demonstrating expertise in food preparation techniques.
Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and enhance existing offerings.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering an environment of teamwork and collaboration.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Handle any issues that arise during service, ensuring a smooth operation throughout service periods.
Experience
Proven experience in a restaurant or commercial kitchen environment is essential.
Strong background in food production and preparation techniques.
Previous supervisory or leadership experience within a culinary setting is preferred.
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in kitchen management.
Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
