Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and recipe development, ensuring creativity and seasonal relevance.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support during food preparation and cooking processes.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene in the kitchen.
Oversee food production, ensuring that dishes are prepared to specification and presented beautifully.
Train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen operations.
Assist in inventory management, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction.
Help maintain a positive working environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.
Skills
Strong culinary skills with experience in food preparation and production within a restaurant setting.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for maintaining hygiene in the kitchen.
