Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong culinary background, with experience in food production and a flair for creativity in the kitchen. As a Sous Chef, you will play a vital role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation. This position requires excellent leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences.

Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and staff management Supervise and train kitchen personnel, fostering a positive team environment Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards Ensure all food preparation meets safety and hygiene regulations Maintain inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery Monitor food quality during preparation and presentation, making adjustments as necessary Contribute to menu development by suggesting new dishes and seasonal offerings

Experience

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant environment Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices Demonstrated ability to manage a team effectively while maintaining high standards of food production Excellent cooking skills with proficiency in various cooking techniques Background in hospitality with an understanding of customer service principles Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently Previous experience supervising kitchen staff is highly desirable
