As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation, and leading the kitchen team to deliver exceptional dining experiences.

Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and recipe development, ensuring creativity and quality in all dishes. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to ensure efficient food preparation and service. Oversee daily kitchen operations, including inventory management, food safety compliance, and cleanliness of the kitchen environment. Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to established recipes and standards. Monitor food production processes to maintain consistency in taste and presentation. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service during peak hours. Handle any issues that arise in the kitchen promptly and effectively, maintaining a positive work atmosphere.

Requirements

Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or culinary environment. Strong knowledge of food production techniques and food safety regulations. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team. Proficiency in culinary skills, including cooking techniques, food preparation, and presentation. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of kitchen management. A passion for culinary arts and commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
