Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and kitchen management, with the ability to lead and inspire a team in a fast-paced environment. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation while assisting the Head Chef in daily operations.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service. Assist in menu planning, recipe development, and food presentation. Oversee food production processes to maintain quality and consistency. Ensure adherence to food safety standards and hygiene practices. Train and mentor kitchen staff on cooking techniques and best practices. Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies as needed. Collaborate with the Head Chef on special events and seasonal menu changes. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area.

Requirements

Proven experience in a culinary role with supervisory responsibilities. Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices. Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and management. A passion for culinary arts and commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
