Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations and ensuring efficient food preparation. Oversee food production processes, ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation standards. Supervise and train kitchen staff, promoting teamwork and collaboration among team members. Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with health and safety regulations. Help develop new menu items and specials, contributing creative ideas to enhance the dining experience. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed to ensure consistent stock availability. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods.

Experience

Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation, and kitchen management practices. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and quality control. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude. A passion for cooking and commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
