Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. Duties

Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, including supervising kitchen staff and coordinating food preparation activities. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment. Help develop menus, taking into consideration seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Oversee food production processes to ensure consistency and quality in all dishes served. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team atmosphere. Monitor inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as needed to ensure efficient kitchen operations. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.

Experience

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar culinary role within a fast-paced environment. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary trends, and food safety practices. Demonstrated ability in supervising and managing a team effectively while maintaining high standards of hospitality. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively in a busy kitchen setting. A passion for cooking and creativity in menu development is essential for success in this role.
