We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to join our busy kitchen team. The ideal candidate will support the Head Chef in the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring that high standards of food preparation and safety are maintained. Cooking authentic Italian foods from scratch - including pasta dishes, pizza, starters, main courses, chef specials, and specialty dishes of chicken, fish, and steak, we are looking for the right person to flourish in a fast-paced and friendly environment.
Duties
support the head chef in food preparation, ensuring adherence to food safety standards and hygiene regulations.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment at all times.
Skills
Proficient in food preparation techniques with a solid understanding of culinary principles.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality.
A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable dining experiences.
Previous experience in a restaurant or similar culinary setting is required.
Self-managing with the ability to work well within a team using excellent communication skills
Confidence to work in an open kitchen
