Duties

Assist the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation and cooking activities. Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring efficient food production and service. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations. Train, mentor, and manage kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment. Prepare and present high-quality dishes that meet restaurant standards. Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu development and seasonal offerings. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant environment. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices. Excellent leadership abilities with experience in team management. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with kitchen staff and front-of-house teams. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
