Job Summary


We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and kitchen management, demonstrating exceptional culinary skills and a commitment to food safety. As a Sous Chef, you will play a vital role in supporting the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation while leading a team of kitchen staff.

Responsibilities



Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations and staff. Supervise food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality and consistency. Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with regulations. Participate in menu planning, recipe development, and inventory management. Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of taste and presentation. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery. Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.

Skills



Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Strong background in food production and preparation techniques. Excellent team management skills with the ability to lead by example. Proficient cooking skills with knowledge of various culinary styles. Extensive kitchen experience, preferably within a restaurant setting. Culinary experience with an understanding of menu development and food trends. Strong hospitality focus with an emphasis on customer satisfaction. Leadership qualities that inspire and motivate kitchen staff to perform at their best. Comprehensive knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
