We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef/Cook to join our Kitchen team. The ideal candidate will possess a good understanding of food production and safety standards. As a Chef/Cook, you will be responsible for kitchen operations as part of the kitchen team when on shift, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and maintaining an exceptional dining experience for our guests. We are looking for individuals passionate about food who have a good eye for presentation to work a small kitchen. Food items focus on breakfast service, meat and cheese deli boards, sandwiches, salads and simple hot food dishes requiring little preparation. Check management is a key required skill as well as the ability to work under pressure at busy time.
Duties
Oversee food production processes, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Help manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to maintain optimal stock levels.
Assist in developing new recipes and menu items that reflect current culinary trends.
Requirements
Proven experience as a sous chef or Chef in a restaurant or similar hospitality environment.
Good knowledge of food production techniques and food safety practices.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of kitchen operations.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including day times, evenings and weekends as required.
