Summary
Our new sous chef will play a pivotal role at The Rag. This position is essential for maintaining our high standards of food quality and service, contributing significantly to our mission of delivering memorable guest experiences.
Responsibilities
Supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and service.
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality standards.
Manage team dynamics to foster a positive work environment.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
Collaborate with management to develop menu items that reflect seasonal offerings.
Train new staff on kitchen procedures and best practices.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.
Assist in inventory management and ordering supplies as needed.
Qualifications
Proven supervising experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting.
Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques.
Excellent team management skills with the ability to lead by example.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable.
Strong communication skills and a passion for hospitality.
