Responsibilities
Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning and recipe development, ensuring creativity and quality in all dishes.
Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking, while maintaining high standards of food safety.
Manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient team performance.
Train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and kitchen procedures.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed to maintain stock levels.
Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods.
Help create a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.
Experience
Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar role within a restaurant setting is essential.
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in culinary operations.
Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in team management within a kitchen environment.
Proficiency in food production techniques, with an emphasis on quality and presentation.
Culinary qualifications or certifications are advantageous.
