We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring that high standards of food preparation and presentation are maintained. This position requires strong leadership abilities, culinary expertise, and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and development, ensuring creativity and seasonal relevance.
Create a positive vibe in the kitchen, encourage colleagues to have fun on a daily basis
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality and consistency.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow.
Train new team members in food preparation techniques and kitchen safety protocols.
Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods.
Help maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen at all times
Skills
Proficient in food preparation techniques with a strong understanding of culinary principles.
Experience in supervising and managing a team within a kitchen setting.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
Strong knowledge of food production processes and hospitality standards.
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Effective communication skills for liaising with both kitchen and front-of-house teams.
