We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our team. Duties
Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and staff management
Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with the restaurant's menu
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow
Maintain food safety standards and ensure compliance with health regulations
Collaborate with the team to develop new recipes
Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste
Train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols
Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen at all times
Skills
Proven supervising experience within a kitchen environment
Strong background in food production and preparation techniques
Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate others
Proficient cooking skills
Solid culinary experience with knowledge of various cooking methods
Understanding of hospitality principles and customer service
Strong leadership qualities to effectively manage kitchen operations
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable
Ability to serve dishes with attention to presentation and detail
