The Lamp Room delivers a busy breakfast and lunch service seven days a week and an extensive tapas and surf and turf menu Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings.

Summary



We are seeking a strong talented Sous Chef to join our dynamic, busy kitchen team at The Lamp Room. In this role, you will assist in managing kitchen operations, ensuring the preparation of high-quality dishes that reflect our commitment to freshness and flavour. Your leadership will play a crucial role in maintaining our standards of excellence.

Responsibilities



Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations and food preparation. Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety standards. Prepare and present high-quality dishes in a timely manner. Manage inventory and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to enhance their culinary skills. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.

Requirements



Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar culinary role. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary arts. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively. Passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional dining experiences. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: 15.00-15.50 per hour
