Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary arts and experience in food production, with the ability to lead and inspire a team. As a Sous Chef, you will assist in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation while maintaining food safety standards. Must be flexible on shifts.

Duties

Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, recipe development, and food preparation. Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, including inventory management and ordering supplies. Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in cooking techniques and food safety practices. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction. Monitor food costs and waste management to contribute to overall kitchen efficiency.

Skills

Proven experience within a professional kitchen environment. Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques. Excellent team management skills with the ability to lead by example. In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices. Culinary experience with a passion for hospitality and customer service. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication skills. Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable. Pay: 12.21-15.00 per hour
