Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and staff management. Supervise and train kitchen team members in food preparation and cooking techniques. Ensure that all food is prepared to the highest quality standards while adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and seasonal offerings. Maintain inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Monitor food presentation and portion control to ensure consistency across all dishes. Uphold cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment. Handle any customer feedback or concerns regarding food quality or service promptly and professionally.

Experience

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices. Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in team management and training. Proficient in various cooking techniques and cuisines, with a passion for culinary arts. Previous experience in supervising staff and managing kitchen operations is essential. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
