Your Role:
As a Sous Chef, you'll be the right hand of the Head Chef, ensuring that the kitchen runs smoothly, consistently delivering high-quality food while maintaining excellent standards of hygiene and safety.
Assist in managing kitchen operations: Support the Head Chef in overseeing day-to-day kitchen activities, from preparation to service.
Lead the team: Supervise junior kitchen staff, ensuring they're motivated, trained, and working efficiently.
Food preparation: Prepare dishes to the highest standard, ensuring quality and consistency across all meals.
Menu development: Contribute creative ideas for menu items and assist in developing seasonal menus.
Stock control and ordering: Help manage inventory, control costs, and ensure stock levels are maintained to minimise waste.
Maintain hygiene standards: Ensure the kitchen complies with all food safety and health regulations.
Step up in the Head Chef's absence: Take charge of the kitchen when required, maintaining smooth operations.

To Thrive in This Role
We're looking for an ambitious, talented chef who can lead with passion and precision. To succeed as a Sous Chef, you'll need:
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in a busy kitchen
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire.
A passion for creating high-quality, delicious dishes, using fresh, seasonal ingredients.
Excellent organisational skills to manage your section and assist in kitchen logistics.
The ability to remain calm and perform well under pressure during busy service periods.
Creativity and a keen eye for detail to ensure every dish is presented to perfection.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations, with a valid Food Hygiene Certificate
A team-player mindset, willing to step in wherever needed and work closely with other chefs.
