Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for food and hospitality, along with the ability to lead and inspire kitchen staff. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in food production, ensuring high standards of quality and safety while assisting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations.

Duties

Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow. Assist in food preparation and cooking, following recipes and presentation specifications. Manage food production processes to maintain quality and consistency across all dishes. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment. Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients. Train new kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen operations. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary. Foster a positive team atmosphere, encouraging collaboration and effective communication among staff.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a culinary role within a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong supervisory skills with experience in team management. Comprehensive knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods. Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations. Excellent leadership abilities to motivate and inspire kitchen staff. Previous experience in food production and service is highly desirable. A passion for culinary arts with a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
