Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Snr Sous Chef/Experienced Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to food safety standards. As a Chef at the Upper Deck, you will play a vital role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring that our culinary offerings meet the highest quality standards while providing an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Duties

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring that food production is efficient and adheres to quality standards. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen at all times. Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards. Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and minimising waste. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction.

Skills

Strong background in hospitality with proven experience as a cook or in a similar culinary role. Excellent food preparation skills with an understanding of various cooking techniques. Ability to manage a team effectively, providing guidance and support to kitchen staff. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations to ensure compliance within the kitchen environment. Proficient in supervising food production processes while maintaining high standards of quality. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced restaurant setting. A genuine passion for food and cooking, with an eagerness to learn and grow within the culinary field.
Job Types: Full-time, Temp to perm
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: 14.00-16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 45 per week
