We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef (only UK National/Resident) to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role for performing as chef independently and in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, and maintaining a positive working environment. This position requires strong culinary skills, leadership abilities, and a commitment to food safety and hygiene practices.

Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation. Independently supervise kitchen operations, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow. Oversee food production processes to maintain quality and consistency. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean kitchen environment. Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food preparation methods, and safety protocols. Collaborate with team members to create innovative dishes that meet customer expectations. Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies as needed. Participate in daily service operations, ensuring timely delivery of meals.

Experience

Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong background in food production and preparation techniques. Demonstrated supervisory experience with the ability to manage a team effectively. Excellent culinary skills with a passion for cooking and creativity in the kitchen. Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices. Previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment is highly desirable. Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire team members. Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
