We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef (UK nationals/ legal UK residents only) to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for food preparation, and extensive kitchen experience. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will assist the Head Chef in managing daily operations, supervising staff, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality dishes in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef in planning and executing menus that meet quality standards and customer expectations
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols
Oversee food production, ensuring all dishes are prepared to specifications and presented attractively
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with regulations
Support food preparation activities, including cooking, plating, and portion control
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery
Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock ordering to minimise waste and control costs
Train new team members and provide ongoing coaching to develop their skills
Ensure the kitchen operates smoothly during shifts, resolving any issues promptly
Requirements
Proven Supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment
Strong background in Food production, Food preparation, and Cooking techniques
Demonstrable Kitchen experience in a busy restaurant or hospitality setting
Excellent Team management skills with the ability to lead by example
Knowledge of Food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management
Previous experience in Restaurant or Hospitality roles is highly desirable
Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and organise a team effectively
Good understanding of Serving procedures and customer service standards
Flexibility to work during peak hours, including evenings and weekends as required, salary/ wage will be decided as per the skills/ duty hours
