Sous Chef is a key role at SEAMILL HOUSE, located in the heart of our luxury boutique hotel. This position is vital in ensuring that our culinary offerings meet the highest standards of quality and presentation, contributing to our mission of delivering unforgettable guest experiences.
Responsibilities
Supervise kitchen staff and oversee food production processes.
Ensure high standards of food preparation and presentation.
Manage team dynamics and foster a collaborative work environment.
Maintain compliance with food safety regulations and best practices.
Train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques and hospitality service.
Collaborate with management to develop seasonal menus.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Uphold the hotel's reputation for excellence in culinary service.
Qualifications
Proven supervisory experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting.
Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques.
Excellent team management skills with a focus on collaboration.
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Previous hospitality or restaurant experience is an asset.
