As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation. Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation and cooking activities. Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring that all team members are performing their duties efficiently and effectively. Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and organisation within the kitchen. Oversee food production processes to ensure quality and consistency in every dish served. Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive learning environment. Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and minimising waste. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen.

Skills

Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar role within a restaurant environment. Strong culinary skills with an understanding of various cooking techniques and cuisines. Excellent team management abilities, with experience supervising kitchen staff. Demonstrated leadership qualities, capable of motivating and guiding a diverse team. A solid understanding of food production processes and kitchen operations. Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and front-of-house staff. A passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding customer service.
