About the Role:



As Sous Chef, you'll play a crucial role in preparing delicious meals for up to 150 guests within a 45-minute service window for both breakfast and dinner. You'll receive full training through our Daish's Training Academy to develop your kitchen management skills, work with set menus, and ensure every dish meets our high standards of taste, presentation, and food safety.

Your Key Responsibilities:



Prepare food as directed by the Head Chef and develop your own dishes independently and collaboratively Assist in menu implementation and contribute new culinary ideas Maintain kitchen equipment alongside the Head Chef Train new kitchen staff Support monthly stocktaking and daily stock replenishment Maintain legislative records (SFBB logs, labeling systems) for inspections Uphold Health & Safety standards and foster a safe work environment

What We're Looking For:



Experience in a commercial kitchen environment Ability to manage responsibilities and multitask under pressure Knowledge of culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes Confidence, enthusiasm, and competence in the kitchen Awareness of Health & Safety regulations Experience in coaching hotel catering is a plus

About the Role:


As a Sous Chef at Daish's Hotels, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional culinary experiences for up to 150 guests within a 45-minute service window at both breakfast and dinner. You will receive full training through our Daish's Training Academy, supporting your development in kitchen management, set menu preparation, and upholding the highest standards in food quality, presentation, and safety.

Key Responsibilities:



Prepare meals according to the Head Chef's direction and demonstrate creativity by developing your own dishes. Assist in menu development and ensure variety, quality, and consistency in all food served. Collaborate with the Head Chef to maintain kitchen equipment and service standards. Train and mentor new kitchen staff. Support stock management, including monthly stocktaking and daily replenishment as needed. Maintain all required health, safety, and food safety records, including SFBB logs and labelling, ensuring compliance with internal and external inspections. Promote and uphold a safe working environment in line with company Health & Safety policies.

Candidate Profile:



Proven experience in a commercial kitchen environment. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high performance under pressure. Strong knowledge of culinary trends and kitchen processes. Enthusiastic, confident, and competent in food preparation and kitchen management. Familiarity with Health & Safety regulations relating to kitchen operations. Experience in a coaching hotel setting is advantageous but not essential. Commitment to embodying the company's values and contributing positively to the team culture.
