Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and dedicated Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong background in kitchen management. As the Sous Chef, you will assist in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food production, and maintaining a positive work environment. Your leadership skills will be essential in guiding the kitchen staff and contributing to menu planning and execution.

Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations and staff. Supervise food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality standards are met. Collaborate with the culinary team on menu planning and special events, including banquets and catering services. Maintain inventory control by managing stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling practices. Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment. Monitor kitchen performance, including shift management and food production efficiency. Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.

Skills

Proven experience in the culinary field with a focus on fine dining or restaurant management. Strong leadership abilities with experience in supervising kitchen staff. Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations. Proficiency in menu planning, food preparation, and catering services. Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for inventory management. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards. Experience in the dietary department is a plus, along with bartending skills if applicable.
