Perdiswell Rose Care Home are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a key member of our culinary staff, you will assist in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes while ensuring that food safety and hygiene standards are upheld. This role is perfect for someone with a strong background in food preparation and a desire to grow within the hospitality industry.

Duties

Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations and supervising kitchen staff. Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food safety regulations are adhered to, maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment. Help in the planning and execution of menus, taking into account seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Oversee food production processes, ensuring quality control at all stages. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment. Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies as needed to maintain stock. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.

Requirements

Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. A passion for food and an eagerness to help create exceptional dining experiences. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong team management skills, with experience supervising kitchen personnel. Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the business needs.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 15.25 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
