We are looking for enthusiastic and talented Sous Chefs to join our team at YORI Korean BBQ Restaurant. Our teams are well known for being friendly, enthusiastic & dynamic, and we pride ourselves on delivering a balance of knowledgeable service with warm personable hospitality.
Whilst producing and cooking amazingly tasty dishes, our sous chefs are expected to assist the head chef in leading the entire back of house brigade and ensuring high quality maintenance of all kitchen practices, facilities, appliances/equipment and record keeping. We expect the ideal candidate to have at least food safety level 2 qualification if not higher to ensure they fully understand and are aware of health & safety and hygiene regulations to industry standards to be implemented in our kitchen. You should have great communication and teamwork skills to give clear instructions and especially in order to assist the Head chef to train and nurture your team with all the skills and knowledge needed to consistently achieve great food and work performance. You will also be responsible for overseeing daily HACCP checks, stock management and helping the Head chef planning weekly rota.

Job Responsibilities:
Learning recipes and cooking dishes to our expected high quality and standards
Assist the chef in planning staff rotas, managing stock control
Co-manage the training and development of your team members alongside the head chef
Provide support to chefs during food preparation and service
Help the kitchen team carry out daily HACCP and opening & closing checks in accordance to food safety regulations
Must ensure kitchen appliances, equipment, work surfaces, floors and walls are cleaned, sanitised and well maintained on a daily basis to industry standards
Assist the team when receiving and unloading deliveries whilst making sure stock is stored properly by tidying and maintaining storage rooms
