We are seeking a passionate and skilled chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have background in kitchens, with a flair for creativity and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. You will play a pivotal role in our kitchen, assisting the head chef at busy periods, preparing and cooking meals. Other days running the kitchen alone, whilst ensuring that every dish meets our high standards of quality and presentation. We are a local, village pub serving home made high quality dishes and wish to expand and improve our menu and food.
Responsibilities
Assist on all aspects of food preparation and cooking in the kitchen.
Develop and design meals with our head chef that reflect seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends.
Ensure the highest standards of food safety and hygiene are maintained at all times.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
Maintain an organised kitchen environment, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and cleaned.
Respond to customer feedback and adapt dishes accordingly to meet guests' preferences.
Experience
Proven experience as a cook or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Strong knowledge of food production techniques.
A passion for cooking with an understanding of various cuisines and dietary requirements.
Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards.
