Duties
Assist the head chef in planning and executing daily menus, ensuring consistency and quality.
Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations.
Oversee food production, ensuring all dishes meet presentation standards and are prepared in accordance with recipes.
Manage food preparation processes, including cooking, plating, and garnishing of dishes.
Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all kitchen activities.
Monitor inventory levels, place orders for supplies, and manage stock rotation to minimise waste.
Support team management by training new staff and fostering a positive working environment.
Ensure timely service delivery during busy periods while maintaining high-quality standards.
Experience
Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment is essential.
Extensive food production and culinary experience across various cuisines is highly desirable.
Demonstrable team management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate staff effectively.
Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation skills.
Previous experience working in hospitality or restaurant settings is preferred.
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations is mandatory.
