Responsibilities



Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and ensuring smooth workflow Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training and mentoring team members Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards Ensure all food production complies with food safety regulations and hygiene standards Monitor food quality, presentation, and portion control to maintain consistency Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction Assist in menu planning, ingredient ordering, and inventory management Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment at all times Support the team during busy periods by actively participating in food preparation and serving

Qualifications



Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen setting Extensive food preparation, cooking, and culinary experience Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively Experience in restaurant or hospitality environments is highly desirable Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork

Job Role - Kitchen Assistant



We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality food services. The successful candidate will assist with meal preparation, food safety, and maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment. Responsibilities



Assist with food preparation and meal assembly in accordance with established recipes and standards Support chefs and kitchen staff in daily kitchen operations, including cleaning and organising workstations Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly followed during food handling and preparation Help with the storage of ingredients and supplies, ensuring proper labeling and stock rotation Serve meals to customers or clients as directed, maintaining a friendly and professional attitude Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and surfaces throughout shifts Support catering events by preparing ingredients and assisting with setup and breakdown as required

Requirements



Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is highly desirable Basic knowledge of food preparation, safety standards, and kitchen hygiene practices Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Good organisational skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills within the culinary field Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends or evenings if necessary Food safety certification or willingness to undertake relevant training is advantageous
