Overview

Quest Medical (UK) Ltd are recruiting a South West Field Service Engineer to join our expanding Engineering Team. This is a mobile role covering the South West region, maintaining and repairing equipment for some of the UK's leading healthcare and medical service providers.

The successful candidate will be a qualified engineer with proven experience in refrigeration/air conditioning. Knowledge of generators and/or lifts would be beneficial.

This is a customer-facing role requiring flexibility, problem-solving, and a commitment to high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities

Installation, servicing, fault finding and repair of: Medical refrigeration and air-conditioning units. Mobile generator systems and lift equipment (training provided where required). Ancillary trailer and static site equipment (locks, lighting, electrical components). Service and repair of mobile medical trailers and static medical sites (hospitals, medical centres). Carrying out scheduled maintenance and safety checks to Quest Medical standards. Participating in on-call rota (approx. 1 in 6 weeks), with additional pay/allowance. Maintaining accurate service documentation and completing reports via the TMS system. Ensuring all work complies with Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality procedures. Representing Quest Medical in a professional, customer-focused manner.
Qualifications & Skills

Essential

F-Gas qualification. Full, clean UK driving licence. Previous service engineering experience.
Desirable

Lift maintenance/installation qualification (NVQ or equivalent). Generator servicing/maintenance qualification or experience. Trailer engineering/maintenance knowledge. 17th or 18th Edition electrical qualification. Inspection & testing certificate.
Working Conditions & Benefits

Contracted 45-hour week, Monday-Friday (1-hour unpaid lunch). Overtime available weekdays and weekends. Company van, fuel card and credit card provided. Accommodation covered when required to work away from home. Competitive salary plus on-call allowance. Ongoing training and development.
