About the Role
As Spa Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our award-winning spa. You'll lead a dedicated team, ensure the highest standards of service, and maintain a strong focus on both guest satisfaction and commercial success.
You will work alongside our Senior Management Team who strategically direct the overall operations, incorporating elements of daily management to enhance business development, maximise revenue and ensure first-class guest satisfaction across all of our services.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
Lead and inspire the spa team, fostering a positive, professional culture
Manage recruitment, training, performance, and scheduling of staff
Promote a guest-first approach and team collaboration
Guest Experience Excellence
Maintain exceptional, personalised guest service standards
Manage guest feedback, ensuring swift and professional resolution
Oversee spa presentation, ambiance, and cleanliness
Operational Oversight
Manage daily spa operations, including bookings, stock, and compliance
Ensure adherence to health & safety, hygiene, and licensing regulations
Coordinate maintenance of spa facilities and equipment
Financial & Commercial Performance
Monitor budgets, KPIs, and financial targets
Maximise revenue through efficient scheduling, retail sales, and service upselling
Collaborate on marketing promotions and service offerings
Brand & Marketing Collaboration
Uphold and promote the spa's luxury brand identity
Provide insight to support marketing strategies and initiatives
Participate in events and projects that raise spa visibility
Strategic Development
Assist with business planning and service innovation
Identify opportunities for operational improvement and team development
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices
What You'll Bring
Proven senior leadership experience in a luxury spa or wellness environment
Strong commercial acumen and experience managing budgets and targets
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Passion for delivering personalised guest experiences
Knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene regulations in spa settings
Ability to motivate, develop, and retain a high-performing team
Commitment to sustainability and quality standards
Previous experience of swimming pool and thermal facility management
