B&M has an exciting new opportunity for a Space & Format Manager!

This newly created role offers the chance to shape the future of our store environments, building customer-focused formats that deliver long-term growth and value.

As Space & Format Manager, you will be at the forefront of developing formats grounded in data and customer insights, ensuring our stores meet customer missions and shopping behaviours. You will lead the evolution of our store blueprint; from look and feel, fixtures, and macro space layout, to customer flow--working end-to-end and incorporating cross-functional input from retail, marketing, and buying.



You'll also have the opportunity to trial innovative formats, plan their rollout across the estate, and implement a structured refresh programme to keep our stores relevant, engaging, and future ready.

In this role, you will:

Develop and deliver data-driven store formats that align with customer missions. Continuously improve our store blueprint, enhancing look and feel, fixturing, layout, and flow. Lead cross-functional collaboration with retail, marketing, and buying teams to shape and implement format strategy. Trial new concepts, gather insight, and plan effective rollouts. Design and execute a structured refresh plan to keep the entire estate evolving with customer needs.

To be successful, you will bring:

Significant experience in retail space planning, format development, or customer-led design. A proven ability to translate customer insight into actionable store formats. Strong strategic thinking and the ability to deliver end-to-end projects that balance customer experience with commercial outcomes. Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and partner across functions. A results-driven approach, with evidence of delivering improvements in store experience and performance.
