We are looking for a level 3 SEND support practitioner with experience to work with a small group of children in our setting offering one to one support.

Purpose of post
To ensure all children in the nursery have all the same life chances, are able to meet their own potential and have equality of opportunities in their learning, development and care
To work collaboratively with the nursery management team/SENDCO with all aspects of supporting children with additional needs.
Key areas
To support children in their care and meet individual needs
Work with and support team members with all aspects of special educational needs provision, monitoring and the individualised planning/assessment/observation that is required
Build and maintain strong partnerships with parents and external agencies

Duties and responsibilities
To attend training as required
Support staff with all aspects of special educational / additional needs, disabilities and any other additional needs
To act on behalf of the child in all aspects of their health, safety, welfare, learning and development
Liaise with external agencies to support children's additional needs
Liaise with and support parents and other family members
To keep up-to-date with all relevant developments relating to extra support, targets, individualised routines, and individualised learning opportunities children need
Ensure the delivery of the Early SEND and Support Plans, or EHCP and any other supporting documents that children may need
Experience:
SENCO Training: 2 years (Required)
