Are you available either on a full or part time basis, looking for a challenge to work within an outstanding & established SEN Schooling & Residential environment. Whether you are an experienced candidate when it comes to Classroom and 1 to 1 suppport, or an individual willing to invest some of their personal experiences or practical knowledge into developing students potential, we would welcome your application. As a focus towards SEMH & ASC (Social Emotional Health & Autism Spectrum Condition), we are looking for candidates that recognise how to adapt to challenging behaviour in both the classroom and outdoor setting - those who are comfortable with managing emotional behaviour which may manfiest itself in different ways depending upon the individual. The school itself is recognised nationally as a SEN School of the Year winner, setting the precedent for what it takes to provide an effective & challenging environment for staff and pupils alike. The school is built within a beautiful countryside estate, utilising its surrounding acres of land across various types of theraputic intervention and vocational outdoor learning. Based near Halesworth and Blythberg, the school caters for a wide age group of residential pupils, of which great effort is made to provide as seamless-as-possible an experience of onsite residential living and learning. Adopting a \'homely, and family feeling\' atmosphere, the school is incredibly unique and this is often felt upon arrival for the first time. We are offering a chance to join the school on an initial Long Term (Full Time, or Part Time) basis. The provision is ultimately looking for Permanent members of staff over time, so this would be a great opportunity to intergrate and familiarise yourself with the schools setting before deciding to apply for a Permanent & salaried post. Pertemps Educations ideal candidate would: - Have an experience or knowledge base in dealing with a variety of Complex SEN needs & learning difficulties. - Be open to visiting the school site next week for an informal tour and meeting with Senior Leadership. This would last approx. an hour. - Have Social Care or Healthcare/Resiential background - Academic background in Psychology, Sociology, Criminology, Childhood & SEN Studies, Youth Studies etc - Own an Enhanced DBS Certificate on the Update Service, or happy to process a new one via Pertemps - Adopt an open minded, patience, and mindful disposition towards the variety of students and staff they work with. - Hold a strong sense of passion towards developing young learners to reach their potentials and develop their social tools for adulthood. - Be available 8:30 to 16:00 Monday to Friday (Part Time minimim 3 days per week). - Have 2 years worth of references that can be verified via Digital Pertemps Registration - Can undertake an informal tour to the school across weeks beginning Monday 27th Feb and Monday 6th March 2023 This role is paid weekly via Umbrella Payroll, on a Friday in arrears. You will have the option to view your own weekly payslips and be paid into the account of choice before 6pm on a Friday. Umbrella\'s incur a weekly deduction fee of \xc2\xa310, we compensate for this in our rate for the position, paying candidate an extra \xc2\xa33 per day.
