About the role:




We are looking for a manager to join our dynamic Special Situations M&A team which helps companies preserve value, reduce risk and address business change through M&A transactions often in situations of complexity, sensitivity or corporate stress. Our work spans the breadth of accelerated M&A, corporate divestment and other bespoke transactions.


We have seen significant growth in client demand for these services and are looking to grow the team as a result.



As a Special Situations M&A, Manager you'll be at the centre of our deal teams, which typically comprise of 3 - 5 people. You'll have the opportunity to contribute significantly towards transactions, by taking ownership of preparing specific deliverables and interfacing with senior stakeholders at the client and interacting closely with prospective buyers.


Our team is diverse in many ways and we actively welcome people with different backgrounds and experience -- whether from corporate finance, restructuring, consulting, or industry. We operate as a single national practice, with team members in London, Birmingham and Manchester.

What your days will look like:



Make significant contributions towards transaction workstreams through co-ordinating the day-to-day project management of deals. With input from senior colleagues, take ownership of the preparation of client deliverables, such as the preparation of pitch documents, client marketing materials, analysis of financial information and bidder update documents. Researching sector themes and specific client opportunities, using a variety of information sources, to develop an understanding of situations and identifying potential transactional opportunities. Contribute to winning new work by supporting senior team members to prepare for and deliver client pitches and identifying new opportunities where appropriate. Work closely with other advisors (such as lawyers, due diligence providers, etc.) to review deal documents, collate and provide information to bidders and other parties

This role is for you if have:



Experience in M&A, special situations, restructuring, corporate valuations or related corporate finance work (deal experience preferred but not essential). A ACA, ACCA, CFA Qualification (or an international equivalent) or have equivalent work experience Strong analytical and financial skills, with confident understanding of financial information and the ability to navigate areas of complexity and uncertainty. Ability to manage and deliver tasks independently while balancing multiple priorities and consistently high-quality outputs. Proven experience in project management of teams, with a track record of coaching and developing junior colleagues. Stakeholder management skills, including interacting with senior business leaders such as client management teams and buyers.
